From being around 8 years old, I have been obsessed with Crystals. I used to carry a little bag of them in my pocket at school and get my friends to test me on being able to identify them by touch, with my eyes closed. Yeah...obsessed. My parents asked me what I wanted for my 18th birthday, something special to signify becoming an adult...guess what I chose? A massive Quartz Crystal!

I studied Geology for two years in the UK in the late 90s, at the time thinking I was on a path to become a Geologist, but I realised that being a Geologist really means digging around in dirt, looking at rocks that aren't pretty. It means exploration for oil and gas (not my idea of fun) and it means anything but playing with Crystals, so I ditched that idea - and I am very glad I did. However, my knowledge and interest in the scientific side of crystals was expanded, and my love for rocks grew even more - the geological information about a crystal is so important to me - as much as , if not more so than the metaphysical properties. 

Fast forward a decade or so of having kids and semi-ignoring my vast crystal collection (but still having them all over the house!), I began my Crystal Jewellery business (It's first incarnation was "Chalcedony Rose" circa. 2014) creating gemstone jewellery, bracelets, malas, wire wrapped crystals - the day my youngest child began school! Although I have now tried many ways of doing things, from market stalls and new age fairs, to having pop up shops, to a physical store, I have found that my passion is to Crystal Personal shop, and to sell beautiful pieces online through this website, or through facebook live sales. Combining my other passion for nature photography has allowed me to experiment and really learn how to capture a crystals magic on a screen.
